Cal Durant - Birmingham City Preseason 10/11
Hi Guys, I am Cal and welcome to my blog where I will have tips, downloads, tactics, players and stories. Now onto my first part of the story.
Birmingham City are a middle table club with the foundations to become a European force. They have a fortress at St. Andrews nearly going half a season undefeated there. Yet they are not as good away from home and I will/hope to change this and make them into a dominant force in the world. Heres my first post:
Here is a brief history on Birmingham City:
As you can see Birmingham City haven't won a major title/cup since 1995. Lets change this. There most dominant period was the 1930's which I am hoping with my presence can change to the 2010's. They have a fierce rivalry with Aston Villa. Lets try and get the rivals to be clubs like OM and Barcelona.
Heres what the expectations were for me this season:
As you can see I am getting quite a bit of Money to just get in the top half of the table. I will try to build on this with the signing I have got which I am pleased with.
Signings:
Heres a table of my ins and outs for this season lets have a look:
Vaclav Kadlec:
Kadlec is a destined star in the European world of football. His stats are amazing and I got him for a cheaper price than he was worth. I can see him doing very well for me this season. My assistant manager informed that my weakest part of the squad was my striking force well lets hope this changes after this signing.
Sergio Araujo:
Araujo is a star in my words he has all the CA and PA ability to take me to the top. He is great. He already represents the Argentine u19's and can score goals in desperate times. You should really get this guy because he would normally be very hard to get after the first season as he will get a lot better. My assistant Dwight Yorke told me to go have a look at him after I got a message from his agent.
Alan Patrick:
Patrick is awesome in his abilities I see a lot of comments on other websites like FM-Base with guys asking who they should sign and nearly every time this mans name will come up. His stats are amazing and Real Madrid really like the looks of him. A definite buy.
Oscar:
Oscar was my biggest signing at 5.75 Million Pounds. He is great in my opinion after getting him off a shortlist I found. He will do well for my side now that I have a full forced midfield that should be able to control games and help Birmingham travel to success.
Pre-Season Matches:
Oscar and Patrick did not get to be involved in all of my Pre-Season matches but you could see there influence when they played in the last two when we lifted the tempo and got some very good results. I had one okay draw with Unirea Urziceni who are an okay team. Here are the results:
The Fixtures up ahead look hard but I am hoping I can get a few results out of them to take me to the top half of the table:
Arsenal and Chelsea will be tough but I am lucky these will be home games for me.
